Strain on the lift cable
During lunch time this question occurred in my head.
If 10 people are standing in the lift, the strain on the lift cable is 600. If the people in the lift put their hands on the lift’s floor and push down the floor of the lift with their hand (without jerking), will the strain on te lift cable increase or stay the same at 600?
I think it will stay the same at 600.
